Websites Containing Resources

The Getty Museum– Medieval Imagery database.

Catholic Artists Society – Hosts talks, masses,  and lectures on art and religion by noted experts and theologians.

Icons and their Interpretation– a non religious site with detailed explanations of interesting Icons from the past.

Natural Pigments carries paints, grounds, and other Icon writing supplies.  It also has weekly articles on technical advances in relevant art materials. This is an excellent article by one of my teachers on egg tempera blending.
